How the nation disappears

I’ve been thinking for a long time whether or not I should publish this information, but I think the public should be aware of the facts

This analysis is based on published data of the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.
The period considered relates to the period from 2011 to the end of 2018.

Fact 2

The nation is getting older, the youth are getting smaller!

If we look at the structure in 2011 (after the census), we see that 3,632,461 persons are older than 15, that the number of persons in paid employment in legal entities is 1,508,867, and that children up to 14 years are only 652,428, or 14.50% of the total population!

Let’s start our overview by Croatian regions!

  1. Eastern Croatia
The population decreased by more than 150,000, with 58,679 displaced from the country. If we look at the cumulative results, we can see that almost 28,000 children were born less than the number of deaths in the same period!

The number of employees reached the bottom in 2015, and it is evident that a drastic increase in emigration was precisely related to the period 2014-2015.
The number of emigrants regarding the percentage of the total population of that community can be seen here, especially for cities, especially for municipalities.

2. Northern Adriatic and Lika

The population decreased by 45,000, with 28,076 displaced from the country. Looking at the cumulative results, we can see that almost 19,000 fewer children were born in the same period than the number of deaths!

  1. Northwestern Croatia
The population decreased by 50,000, with 16,073 displaced from the country. Looking at the cumulative results, we see that 16,000 fewer children were born in the same period than the number of deaths!

4. Central Croatia

The population decreased by 116,000, leaving 73,422 people displaced from the country. If we look at the cumulative results, we see that 29,000 fewer children were born in the same period than the number of deaths!

  1. Middle and southern Adriatic
The population decreased by 58,000, with 38,400 displaced from the country. If we look at the cumulative results, we see that 12,500 children were born less than the number of deaths in the same period.!

Does emigration abroad have to do with the level of development of Local community?
It can be seen that almost 50,000 persons emigrated from municipalities with less development, while 21,000 persons emigrated from developed municipalities in the Republic of Croatia.
